At its roots Sidewalk or Roll Surf, the skateboard, which was to become a worldwide cultural phenomenon, was fashioned from wood and metal. Organic materials have a life of their own, and wet collodion photography is the only medium I know of that can deliver their essence.
I love expressing myself with this process, which brings a third dimension to the image, restoring the soul of my subjects.
